Earning Their Stripes is a project that draws on archival records, photographs, and artifacts to tell little-known and, in some case, never-before-told stories about the people and events behind Canada's most dramatic civil rights movement. Covering two centuries of history, the stories explain how we evolved from a culture that feared and condemned people for their sexual or gender identity to one that increasingly respects them and celebrates the strength that comes from diversity in all its forms.
